My Personal Recommendation for the Slow Flowers Worldwide Summit 2026

Slow Flowers Summit Logo 2026
As someone who has been involved with the Slow Flowers Summit since its very beginning, I can personally attest to the value, inspiration, and community it provides. The 2026 Worldwide Summit is an event you absolutely should not miss!

I was there for the inaugural Slow Flowers Summit in Seattle (2017), which set the tone for what the Slow Flowers Movement is all about: a forward-thinking approach to our industry. I appeared as a guest speaker with my sister and business partner, Casey, at the 2018 Summit in Washington, D.C., sharing how we have a diversified business model. In 2021, my sister and I were attendees at the memorable in-person Summit at Filoli—a stunning reminder of the power of connecting over beautiful, locally-grown flowers.

Most recently, I attended the first online Slow Flowers Summit in 2025 just this past January. It was filled with great online demonstrations, virtual tours and insight from all the speakers. When I couldn’t watch live, I was able to watch the taped recap of each speaker.

The 2026 Slow Flowers Worldwide Summit is continuing to evolve and expand its reach:

What You Need to Know for 2026:

  • Dates: January 30–31, 2026
  • Format: Worldwide Online Event! This format is fantastic because it makes the Summit inclusive, accessible, and affordable—you get two full days of incredible content without the cost and hassle of travel and lodging.
  • Focus: Black Flower Farmers joins Slow Flowers Society to co-host the ninth annual global conference with a focus on floral design, flower farming, and sustainability education, taking place January 30–31, 2026
  • Experience: Debra Prinzing and her team curate a program that has been called a “TED Talk for Flower Lovers” and a “Floral Mind-Meld.”

Why I Keep Coming Back:

From the energy of that first-ever gathering in Seattle to the breathtaking beauty of the Filoli event, the Slow Flowers Summit is truly unique. It’s not just about education; it’s about connection. You’ll network with fellow flower farmers, florists, and enthusiasts who share your commitment to a sustainable, local, and ethical floral marketplace.

Debra Prinzing

Debra Prinzing welcomes attendees to the first annual Slow Flowers Summit in Seattle in 2017.

Whether you’re looking for cutting-edge design techniques (like those from speakers such as Shane Connolly and Françoise Weeks) or vital business and farming insights, the 2026 program is packed with practical and inspiring content.

Mark your calendar for January 30–31, 2026, and join this vital global conversation. I hope to see you (virtually!) there!
