Great for Consensus
Orange flowers work wonders in group gatherings when you want to reach a consensus. In fact, Casey’s favorite flower is a rose called ‘Free Spirit’, primarily an orange-colored rose. It has lots of energy, smells great, and opens beautifully. It also lasts a long time in a vase!
We all know that orange has an interesting reputation as a color. When asked what the color orange means, many will say “safety” as in “vest” or “road construction cones and signs.” We enlighten clients to consider orange for flower designs if they are trying to reach a consensus, a general agreement, or have a decision-making process for their events or meetings.

According to the book, Feng Shui in the Garden, orange is known as the “social color” because it helps draw people together and encourages conversation.

In this design, we took a “mock-cracked” terracotta (orange) container, lined it with a vase, and added over 40 stems of orange spray roses for this lush monochromatic orange design.

Enjoy and feel energized. This is the color of coming together, which is probably why we always love it around Thanksgiving when we all come together to celebrate our family and friends.

Pantone Loves Orange, too!

“Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.” — Pantone.com
While we love the 2025 Pantone color of the year Mocha Mousee, we will always embrace orange for its power to bring people together.
Embrace the ORANGE! It can actually be good for you!
